At Dowling: First Pilot’s License

Another First – Robert Stangarone of Briarcliff Manor became the first Dowling Aeronautics student to receive his Commercial Pilot’s license last month. Angus McIntyre (right), President of McIntyre Aviation (MacArthur Airport), whose company provides contract FAA certificated flight training for the program and Aeronautics Program Director, Robert Smith (center) check navigation routes.

Luckily, we were able to track down Bob Stangarone, who is now Vice President of Corporate Communications for Cessna. His pilot’s license was awarded on June 22, 1969.
