1969 May Cotillion

1969 May Cotillion

The May Weekend is the highlight of the years’ social calendar. On a Friday evening, the Junior class presents a formal dinner-dance, the May Cotillion, at which time the May Queen is crowned. Traditionally, there has been a “boat ride” sponsored by the Freshman class.

Elections for the May Queen are held in the late spring. The title is open to all co-eds. The Queen reigns over a court composed of the top-ranking three girls from each class, esteemed for their knowledge, charm, beauty, and all-round contribution to campus life.

From the student handbook The Well, page 30

The May Queen of 1969 was Diane Ketchum.
