Alpha Sigma Delta at Dowling College, 1969

Alpha Sigma Delta is a local fraternity. Since its organization in the Spring of 1961, it has tried to live up to its constitution, which calls for the fraternity to enhance the college in the eyes of the community.

Alpha fraternity holds an annual Blood Bank Drive and the establishment of this Blood Bank ranks as onoe of the most important contributions made by a fraternity or a sorority.

The acceptance of eleven brothers this past Spring has brought the membership to thirty-one. This increase is helping the fraternity to broaden the scope of its activities and social functions. The most recent achievement of Alpha Sigma Delta is the acquisition of a fraternity house. This is the first step by any organization on campus to promote living experiences which are essential to produce a sense of student involvement.
