The Golden Lions of Dowling played in the Central Atlantic College Conference (CACC) along with rivals Marist College, Bloomfield College, Nyack College, and King’s College. In 1968-69, the team would play what was considered the toughest schedule in the school’s history to date: a total of 23 collegiate games, 13 at home and 10 on the road. All home games were played at Connetquot High School in Bohemia, New York, as was a special 14th home game: an exhibition game against the Dowling College Alumni-Faculty team. All conference opponents were played twice, along with several regional rivals, including the local team from Southampton College. The entire schedule follows:
