New Voice, November 26, 1968

Highlights of this issue include:

  • “Parking May Jeopardise College,” an article detailing community complaints about students parking outside of desginated areas. With a third Islip Town Board hearing on the College’s expansion plans set for December 4th, the New Voice worried that students “may be giving the residents the ammunition they will need to defeat the college’s application.”
  • A bad review of the Broadway musical Maggie Flynn which starred Shirley Jones.
  • News on the formation of an Inauguration Committee consisting of students, faculty, administration and board of trustees members to plan the College’s inauguration ceremonies slated for February 1969.
